The most common reasons a policy is placed into cancellation are non-payment of premium and noncompliance.
Here is how the two cancellation reasons differ:
Non-Payment of Premium: Once an installment is past due, the policy will be placed into cancellation and the insured will have 10 days to complete payment for the past due balance.
If payment is not completed within 10 days, the policy will cancel and no longer be eligible for reinstatement.
Non-Compliance: Reasons of non-compliance vary based on carrier and program requirements.
If your policy being canceled specifically because of ineligible drivers you might be able to keep your policy active by replacing or removing the ineligible driver.
If no action is taken the policy will cancel on the date shown on the cancellation notice.
