PX Renewal Migration FAQs
Transferring to INSHUR:
Frequently Asked Questions: Transition from ABI to INSHUR
What is happening to my Period XTM insurance policy?
Effective October 1, 2026, INSHUR Inc. ("INSHUR") will replace American Business Insurance Services, Inc. (ABI) as the licensed insurance producer and broker for your Period XTM insurance program. ABI and INSHUR operate under the same parent holding company, and this transition is designed to streamline your service and coverage management.
Does this change my current coverage?
If you are in a state where INSHUR operates: There is no immediate change to your current policy, pricing, or coverage terms. Your policy remains fully active and is backed by the same insurance carrier (Incline).
INSHUR currently offers coverage in:
Arizona
California
Colorado
Connecticut
Georgia
Hawaii
Idaho
Illinois
Indiana
Louisiana
Maryland
Nebraska
Nevada
New Jersey
North Dakota
Ohio
Oregon
Pennsylvania
South Carolina
Tennessee
Texas
Utah
Virginia
Wisconsin
If you are in a state where INSHUR does not currently operate: We will unfortunately be unable to offer a renewal through either ABI or INSHUR at the end of your current term. You will receive a formal Notice of Non-Renewal 30 days prior to your expiration date, at which point you will need to secure coverage with an alternate provider.
Will I need to re-apply for my policy?
If you have received an email confirming the transfer of your policy to INSHUR, you do not need to reapply. To ensure your coverage continues seamlessly, your application, underwriting data, and policy records are being securely transferred from ABI to INSHUR. You will not need to re-apply or re-enter your driver details for your upcoming renewal.
Are there changes to my payment schedule?
Yes. For customers transitioning to INSHUR, the payment model will shift from paying in arrears to a "charge-for-the-month-ahead" model. Your specific payment schedule will be detailed in your renewal invitation.
What happens to my deposit?
Your ABI deposit refund will be processed at the end of your current policy term, alongside any final outstanding payments for your ABI policy.
How will I receive my renewal information?
If your state is covered by INSHUR, you will receive an email with your renewal invitation 30 days before your renewal date. This email will include a direct link to access your new INSHUR renewal quote via our portal.
What do I need to do next?
If your state is covered by INSHUR: No action is required. We are handling the transition automatically. If you do not wish to renew with INSHUR you can choose not to action your renewal quote.
If your state is not covered by INSHUR: You do not need to take any action; your policy will simply conclude at the end of its current term.
Is my data safe during this transfer?
Yes. Your data remains protected under strict security protocols. Records are transferred to INSHUR in full compliance with the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and all other applicable state privacy laws.
